If there’s one thing we can all agree on as 2012 progresses, it’s that things are still pretty tough out there. The Eurozone uncertainty continues; growth in the BRICs is slowing; there’s ongoing instability in the Middle East; and slight indications of recovery in the US are, at best, fragile. The South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry described our own situation as an “unstable and weakening business environment”.

Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan has warned us more than once that we have to tighten our belts.

So Du Pont has come up with a whole host of belt tightening tips. The good news is that they are all totally painless.

In fact, even if the economy was booming and you had also won both the Lotto and Powerball in the same week, these tips are still be worth considering.

1. Review your Least Cost Routing contract
2. Change your landline network provider
3. Update your data network
4. Utilise a fresh, alternative, affordable way to market your business

Details of how to implement these tips in your business are set out in greater detail in this newsletter.

Till next time,
